Church selling dumplings
SHAMOKIN - Apple dumpling orders being taken at First United Methodist Church, Sunbury and Ninth streets. Dumplings may be purchased for $3 each or in pans of 6 for $17. Call 648-8880 or 644-0720 before Saturday to order.
Dumplings can be picked up at the Holiday Bazaar at the church from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 19. Extras will be available for walk-ins.
MCAJV to hold Veterans Day activities
MOUNT CARMEL - Mount Carmel Area Joint Veterans Committee's Veterans Day activities will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at American Legion Post 91.
The Mount Carmel Area High School program begins at 9:30 a.m. in the high school auditorium. Veterans are asked to arrive at 9:15 a.m.
Services will be held at the memorials at Third and Oak streets and Second and Oak streets immediately after the high school program.
