MOUNT CARMEL - Remembering those who have answered their final alarm, the Volunteer Fire Department of Mount Carmel will hold its 13th annual memorial service at 9 a.m. Sunday in Grace United Church of Christ, Third and Market streets, with the Rev. Joan Brown officiating.
Those who have passed away during the past year and will be remembered during the service are: Peter Bolick, Edward J. Brazinski and Robert A. Pittello, American Hose and Chemical Fire Company; Thomas G. Gross, William G. Leiby and Anthony K. Revenis, Anthracite Steam Fire Company No. 1; Robert D. Harvey Sr., John T. Kehler Sr., Anthony V. Miscavige Jr, George R. Quinn and Thomas N. Thompson Jr., Clover Hose Company, and Gerald E. Malinowski, Shawn K. Yentsch and Russell Zuk, West End Fire Company.
Emergency personnel are asked to be in the company's uniform and meet at the church by 8:45 a.m. Family members and the public are invited to attend.
The fire department is composed of the above-named fire companies, Mount Carmel Area Rescue Squad and Mount Carmel Fire Police.
