The section of Route 487 from the Columbia County line near Knoebels Amusement Resort, closed due to flood damage from Tropical Storm Lee last month, is now open. The contractor making emergency repairs opened the roadway to traffic between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, and the detour was lifted. Repairs remain; work will begin during daylight hours Monday and is expected to last about two weeks. There will be no road work along Route 487 today. Route 45 between Route 405 and Housels Run Road in West Chillisquaque Township was also reopened Thursday.
