Disaster recovery centers to open in seven locations

HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced the opening of seven Disaster Recovery Centers to help residents and business owners with their recovery from the recent storms and flooding.

Centers are operating at:

Columbia County Agricultural Center

702 Sawmill Road

Bloomsburg, PA 17815

Luzerne County Community College

1334 South Prospect Street

Nanticoke, PA 18634

Wyoming County

41 Philadelphia Avenue

Tunkhannock, PA 18657

Bradford County

Towanda Fire Department

101 Elm St., Towanda PA 18848

Dauphin County

Harrisburg East Mall

3501 Paxton Street

Harrisburg, PA 17111

Lycoming County

7610 Fairfield Road

Montoursville, PA 17754

Sullivan County at Loyalsock State Forest District Office

6735 Rte. 220

Laporte, PA 18626

Centers were open from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, but hours beginning today are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Disaster officials recommend that you register before visiting a center so if you have any questions about the application process they can be answered fact to face. Flood victims may visit any center regardless of where they live or work. Register for assistance online at www.disasterassistance.gov
