COAL TOWNSHIP -Township officials reminded Monday that any residents whose electrical panel boxes were submerged in water are urged to have a licensed electrician remove the old breakers, dry and clean the panel box thoroughly and replace the breakers with new ones. Then, the electrical service must inspected by a licensed state inspector.
For residents of Coal Township, commissioners have negotiated a reduced rate with its state inspector, Building Inspection Underwriters, to provide this inspection at a cost of $30.
Please contact the Coal Township Municipal Office at 644-0396 for the inspector's contact information.
The township is also encouraging completion of the flood damage assessment form expected to be distributed by the county today. Completed forms can be taken to the township building.
