MOUNT CARMEL - The Council of Catholic Women and Rosary-Altar Society of Church of Our Lady held their monthly meeting Sept. 1 in the parish hall.
President Theresa Conniff called the meeting order. It began with council prayers and the Pledge of Allegiance. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were given.
The clergy and religious appreciation dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Wayside Inn. Cost of tickets is $15 each. Maria Bridy gave an update on Rosary-Altar Society business.
The next council meeting will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 6. Hostesses will be Debbie Gownley, Midge May and Anna Short. Prayers were recited for active, sick and deceased members.
The meeting was adjourned on motion by Short and Marian Blase. Refreshments were served followed by bingo
