TREVORTON - The Trevorton Senior Action Center meeting on Sept. 1 was opened by Edwina Savidge, president, with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 12 members present.
Wanda Heath, secretary, gave her report from the last meeting. The treasurer's report was given by Judie Urick.
Joyce Koppen, a member of the travel committee, reported on upcoming trips, including "A Playhouse Christmas" Nov. 10 at Hunterdon Hill, N.J., and "A Christmas Show" Dec. 3 at Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill. At the last meeting, members were encouraged to participate in activities that are planned and enjoy others' company. On a trip to Turbotville, 21 senior citizens enjoyed Two Sisters Restaurant,
The center expressed appreciation to all who donated items for theme baskets for the Heritage celebration in Trevorton and those who manned the stand.
A ribbon-cutting for the greenhouse is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 21. A sign-up sheet is available for those wishing to attend to show appreciation for the plants that were received at the center.
Other upcoming events include a flu clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 20, a member breakfast Sept. 26 and a visit to Bloomsburg Fair following breakfast.
During the Octoberfest at the Foundry, the center will conduct a Chinese auction.Items are needed,
