COAL TOWNSHIP - William Henry Krebs, 65, of 223 Burnside Drive, passed away Saturday afternoon, Sept. 3, 2011, at his home, following an illness of 10 years.
Born July 5, 1946, in Shamokin, he was a son of Florence (McCollum) Krebs, of Coal Township, and the late Clarence Krebs.
He was a graduate of Shamokin High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Feb. 16, 1965, in Harrisburg, and received an honorable discharge Feb. 1, 1967, at Fort Lewis, Wash.
He served during the Vietnam War with the 85th Evac Hospital, 55th Group. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
On May 3, 1968, in Zion Primitive Methodist Church, Mount Carmel, he married the former Dorothy Wydra, who survives.
He was a carpenter by trade.
He was a member of Bethel Union Chapel, West Cameron Township.
He enjoyed woodworking and this passion led to the remodeling of his entire home. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to Dot, his loving wife of 43 years, and his Mother, of Mountain View Nursing Center, he is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Denise Krebs, of Shamokin, Debra Cabida and her husband, Mark, of Marlton, N.J., and Dawn Quinonez and her husband, Tony, of Hainsport, N.J.; one son, William Krebs, at home; nine grandchildren, Paul Letterman, of Ohio, Michael Tentromono, of Shamokin, Amanda Lucas, of Shamokin, Cordell Lucas, of Shamokin, Gavin Cabida, of Marlton, N.J., Maxin Cabida, of Marlton, N.J., Anessa Quinonez, of Hainsport, N.J., Roger Quinonez, of Hainsport, N.J., and Cheyenne Krebs, of Coal Township; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Barbara Stalcoskie, of Alexandra, Va., and Donna Jane Galudel and her husband, Robert , of Dushore, and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Krebs and his wife, Renetta of Clarksville, Tenn., Donald Krebs and his wife, Marg, of Shamokin, and Charles Krebs and his wife, Diane, of Burnside.

KREBS - William Henry Krebs, 65, of 223 Burnside Drive, Coal Township. A religious funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township, with Pastor Dave Butler of Bethel Union Chapel officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Coal Township. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday in the funeral home.
