Marino plans office open houses
SUNBURY - U.S. Rep. Tom Marino, R-10, will host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m, Tuesday at his constituent service center, 106 Arch St., Sunbury, district director David Weber announced.
The event will allow district residents to meet the congressman, ask him questions about legislative issues and talk with staff about constituent services, Weber said.
Land restrictions set for I-80
MONTOURSVILLE - Following are the planned work-zone lane closures for the Interstate 80 river bridges project in Columbia County next week.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the I-80 westbound passing lane and eastbound travel lane will be closed for approximately 800 feet for haul trucks to exit work areas between exits 241 (Lime Ridge/Berwick) and 242 (Mifflinville). This will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
A stop condition remains in effect at the top of the ramps entering westbound I-80 from Route 339 south and eastbound I-80 from Route 11 north.

Farm Bureau annual meeting
NORTHUMBERLAND - The Northumberland County Farm Bureau will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at Townside Too, 253 Front St. The agenda of the meeting will include the election of directors and action on policies discussed at the picnic. The program will be about solar energy and an agricultural tour in northern Northumberland County.
A buffet-style dinner will be served, including salad, beef tips, red-skinned mashed potatoes, filling, gravy, corn on the cob, green beans and dessert. The cost is $9 per person.
