Parking restriction in Kulpmont
KULPMONT - The Borough of Kulpmont announced there will be no parking on the 500, 600 and 700 blocks of Chestnut Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday for road construction.
Smokey Bear visit planned
BARNESVILLE - Smokey Bear will be at the Locust Lake State Park amphitheater at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Dave Duffy will present a fire prevention and campfire safety program followed by Smokey's visit.
The program is free and open to the public. The program will be held "shine only," and each child must be accompanied by an adult.
Roundtable to host ensemble
SUNBURY - The Susquehanna Civil War Roundtable will feature the Victorian Dance Ensemble (VDE), the performing troupe of the Civil War Dance Foundation, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Degenstein Library, 40 S. Fifth St.
The VDE is a group of living historians who share a love for the grace and beauty of mid-19th century dancing. They will present the history of Victorian era dance as well as give demonstrations. Participation from the audience will be encouraged and welcomed.

Craft show to benefit students
BLOOMSBURG - Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School will sponsor a fall craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 22 to help students in the Skills USA organization to help offset expenses for attending local, state and national trade and leadership competitions.
More than 100 crafters have been invited to the event to display home decor, holiday gift items, wood crafts and jewelry. Food services will be available.
