DANVILLE - One-year-old Bo Bacorn, the victim of an alleged assault Tuesday morning, remained in critical condition Thursday night in the pediatric intensive care unit at Geisinger Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Police said the boy's injuries include a fractured skull, bleeding on the brain, swelling on his penis and testicles and multiple bruises.

Michael Jordan Mason, 22, of 169 N. Grant St., Shamokin, has been charged by Patrolman Raymond Siko II with three felony counts of aggravated assault, a felony of endangering the welfare of a child, and a misdemeanor of recklessly endangering another person in connection with the assault that occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. at the defendant's home.

According to a criminal complaint, Mason, who is the boyfriend of the child's mother, Skie Campbell, is accused of dropping the child three feet into a playpen, knocking him against a wall and holding the child's face against his neck four different times in an attempt to stop him from crying.
