MILTON - A gang-related assault has Milton Police Department searching for a Milton couple who allegedly cut Nicole Biddinger in the face with a box cutter Thursday.

Andrew R. Bradford, 25, and Michelle Smith, 21, both of 31 Rose St., are wanted on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

The charges were filed by Cpl. Kenneth Royer in the office of Magisterial District Judge John Gembic, Shamokin. Gembic issued arrest for the individuals and search warrants for their residence.

According to court documents, Royer was contacted by Sunbury Police Sgt. Chris Blaze at the Sunbury Community Hospital, where Biddinger was being treated in the emergency room.

Biddinger, who was vague with her information, told police that she had been targeted because she had taken $2,000 from the Bloods and had failed to pay it back, and had been romantically involved with Bradford.

Police said Biddinger had been driven to Milton by Bradford where she was allegedly assaulted by Smith, who cut her face to the bone with a box cutter, and was driven back to Sunbury and dropped off at the hospital.

Due to the nature of the wound, hospital staff told police there should be a lot of blood at the scene of the crime.

Biddinger was transferred to Geisinger Medical Center for a consultation with a plastic surgeon, said police.

Bradford kept Biddinger's state identification card, said police.

Biddinger also told police that Bradford is a Blood, and he and his associates are always armed.

Biddinger told police she believes Bradford and Smith are staying at 31 Rose St., Milton.

Bradford is facing one charge of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault while Smith is facing two charges of aggravated assault.

No other information was available Friday.
