COAL TOWNSHIP - Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in conjunction with Complete HeathCare Resources, has completed the first step of a facility-wide renovation to enhance the experience of community members who need short-term rehabilitation or longer-term nursing care. The B-wing was completely revamped and is anticipated to begin serving 60 residents in September.
Private, semi-private and companion rooms are each equipped with an individual flat screen television for each bed and wireless Internet. A nursing station in the middle of the wing was configured differently to allow residents in wheel chairs to easily communicate with staff. Color schemes and the overall design was chosen to create a warm and friendly environment for residents. This phase of renovation was budgeted at approximately $500,000.
The facility's master plan includes renovation of all other areas of the facility, including the kitchen. Mountain View will continue to provide short-term rehabilitation, sub-acute services, long-term, respite and palliative care during the facility-wide overhaul. The facility will offer many amenities in each completed wing, including a bathing suite to provide a spa-like environment complete with handicapped accessible state-of-the-art whirlpool tub.
