n SHAMOKIN - Robert Adams, 32, of 1051 W. Gowen St., Coal Township, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of harassment and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $100 fine plus costs.
An additional charge of simple assault was withdrawn.
Adams was charged by Coal Township Patrolman David Sage with simple assault and harassment for assaulting his stepbrother, Brandon Adams, at their residence on March 9.
He also waived to court charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct filed by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II in connection with a March 4 disturbance at Chestnut and Anthracite streets in which he allegedly assaulted Juliana Zarkowski.
On the charges filed by Siko, Adams was ordered by Gembic to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, at which time he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - Hilda Y. Torres, 47, of 14 W. Church St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday charges of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.
Torres was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II with threatening to kill a police officer. She also was charged with allowing an adult pit bull out of a room at her house when another adult pit bull was present while she was babysitting two children, ages 3 and 11 months.
Police said the disturbances occurred June 20.
Torres was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, at which time she can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - John Kleman, 42, of 1225 Chemung St., Coal Township, waived to court Tuesday charges of tattooing a minor and corruption of minors and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.
Kleman was charged by Coal Township Patrolman David Sage with applying a butterfly-style tattoo on the right hip area of a 13-year-old girl without the permission of the girl's parents.
Police said the tattoo was given to the victim on May 28.
At his arraignment, Kleman can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - Rodney T. Cossari, 22, of 302 N. Pearl St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday charges of burglary, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property relating to a Jan. 24 incident at 119 S. Carbon St.
Cossari is charged by Shamokin Patrolman William Miner with stealing a Sony PlayStation 3 and assorted games from the home of Amichae Young.
Cossari was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, at which time he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - James Isenberg, 19, of 36 S. Fourth St., Sunbury, and Alexander D. Bassett, 19, of 808 State Route 61, Sunbury, waived to court Tuesday charges of theft, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy and were ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.
Bassett also waived to court a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in connection with the same incident.
Isenberg and Bassett were charged by Coal Township Patrolman David Sage with stealing a 2001 Polaris Trail Boss all-terrain vehicle owned by April Dellinger from 9090 State Route 61 on May 6.
At their arraignments, both men can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - Roger R. Elliot, 62, of 352 Hillside Ave., Elysburg, waived to court Tuesday two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive in a single lane, careless driving and failure to wear a seat belt relating to an April 1 incident on Route 61 near Hosta Road in Shamokin Township.
The charges were filed by Trooper Angela Jankoviak of state police at Stonington.
Elliot was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, at which time he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - James A. Batdorf, 47, of 1034 Ross Road, Sunbury, waived to court Tuesday two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, failure to obey a traffic control device and careless driving in connection with a May 29 incident at the intersection of Route 61 and Jasmine Road in Shamokin Township.
The charges were filed by Trooper Thomas Leib of state police at Stonington.
Batdorf was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, at which time he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - Dawel Lantigua, 19, of 17 S. Rock St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday a charge of retail theft and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear Sept. 12 for arraignment in Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.
Lantigua was charged by Coal Township Patrolman Matthew Henrich with stealing seven mp3 players from Wal-Mart Supercenter along Route 61 on July 5.
At his arraignment, Lantigua can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - Richard J. Madden Jr., 46, and his wife, Patricia Madden, 47, of 1015 N. Franklin St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty to harassment Tuesday and were ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $100 fine plus costs.
An additional charge of simple assault was withdrawn against the couple.
The Maddens were charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II and Cpl. John Brown with assaulting each other at their residence on July 27.
n SHAMOKIN - Miho Charowsky, 38, of 1500 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, pleaded guilty Tuesday to harassment and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $25 fine plus costs.
An additional charge of terroristic threats was withdrawn.
Charowsky was charged by Coal Township Patrolman David Sage with threatening to stab her husband, Daniel Charowsky, with a knife at their home on May 21.
n SHAMOKIN - Jesse Beck, 19, of 41 S. Owl St., Coal Township, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.
Beck was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Jarrod Scandle in connection with a June 21 incident at the skate park on North Rock Street.
n SHAMOKIN - Brittney Lynn Bowers, 21, of 1191 Lower Road, Shamokin, was held for court Tuesday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to provide a registration card, displaying a registration plate without a valid sticker, driving without insurance, failure to drive in a single lane, careless driving and failure to wear a seat belt involving a June 25 incident on Route 225 near Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The charges were filed by Trooper Thomas Leib of state police at Stonington.
Bowers was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, at which time she can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n SHAMOKIN - Corey J. Feese, 21, of 530 Bear Valley Ave., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for six months.
Feese was charged by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano in connection with a July 12 incident at his residence.
n SHAMOKIN - Albert J. Schweitzer III, 36, of 721 Center St., Tharptown, was held for court Tuesday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault and harassment relating to a domestic disturbance at 715 N. Vine St. on July 24.
Schweitzer was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II with striking his former girlfriend, Katherine Bixler, in the right eye, face and forehead area with a hammer, causing swelling and bleeding.
Schweitzer was ordered by Gembic to appear for arraignment Sept. 12 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, at which time he can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
