Stabbing victim dies Mifflinburg man now charged with homicide

SELINSGROVE - The alleged attacker of a Selinsgrove man is facing criminal homicide charges following the death of the victim Tuesday morning, according to state police at Selinsgrove.

Seth M. Hornberger, 18, of Mifflinburg, was arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the office of District Judge Edward Mihalick on a charge of criminal homicide in relation to the death of Alan A. Martin, 21, of Winfield, who was pronounced dead at 11:13 a.m. March 15.

Police allege Martin was stabbed by Hornberger in the right side of his head between 6 and 7 p.m. at 4 Pennsylvania Ave., Hummels Wharf.

Martin was flown to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he remained in critical condition until his death.

Hornberger was previously arraigned before Mihalik on two counts of aggravated assault and related charges.

He remains in Snyder County Prison.
