Why is it the insurance company's responsibility to cover birth control to anyone? It's not preventive care unless the woman can prove that getting pregnant could put her life in danger. This will drive premiums up for everyone else just so women who can't afford birth control pills can have sex. Why can't they just go buy a roll of condoms? Much cheaper than birth control and much safer protection from STD's. This is just wrong.

It all comes back to personal responsibility. If you choose to do something, you assume all cost associated with that choice. It's not a life and death matter. I may sound cold, but liberal proposals such as these that have gone into effect before have bankrupted this country. It's just reality.

In your question, what do you mean by preventive care? What is supposed to be prevented? Life? Is this another covert way of supporting abortion? If so, absolutely, no way.

If the government forces insurance companies to provide birth control, my premiums will go up as a result. Why should I, someone who has practiced one form of birth control or another my whole life and paid for it out of my own pocket, have to subsidize someone who isn't as responsible? How about the government providing classes in being responsible for one's actions and not relying on someone else to pay for your birth control? Of course, in this welfare state of mind, personal responsibility is blasphemous.

Why can't people just take responsibility for their own actions? If my insurance company is forced to do this, my premiums will go up so some unemployed welfare recipient can have sex and not worry about getting pregnant. How about just having the guy grab some condoms? Wait, the Access card won't cover that - oops. Come on people, start taking care of yourselves instead of having the government do it for you.

Just more of the welfare state mentality. How about drug testing for welfare people, and if they come up hot, they get their benefits stopped? How about no additional welfare money for any additional kids you have while on it? How about some common sense? Why should I pay for someone to have safe sex? They never heard of a condom? Much cheaper and much safer, disease-wise. How about some personal accountability instead of relying on someone to clean up your mess?

Limit the totally free birth control pills to gays only (married without children) and in order to avoid a co-pay they must sign an anti-abortion pledge in case they miss taking the free pill (just in case). Also, make sure that all the illegal aliens are given a double dose to avoid the added Obamacare cost of either an abortion or an anchor baby. (ER or unplanned parenthood services). When a government is broke, how much more free stuff can they give away and to whom?

Paxinos

I say yes for those people who cannot afford the birth control - for unwanted children or children the parents are not ready for yet or their children who are sexually active and are going to be active with or without precaution.
