Tiny Tots at Knoebels
ELYSBURG - Knoebels Crystal Pool will be holding its tiny tots swimming program for children age 5 and younger from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 5. A $1 donation to the American Red Cross is requested to participate. Signup will be held before 9 a.m. at the pool Monday. A parent must accompany each child in the water.
Dumping rules enforced
COAL TOWNSHIP - The Coal Township Board of Commissioners announces that anyone caught dumping unsolicited items at the Coal Township Recycling Center will be arrested. If any costs are incurred by the township to remove the unwanted items or repair equipment damaged due to the unwanted items, the individual(s) will be held responsible and required to pay all costs.
Mussleloader hunting 101
BARNESVILLE - Outdoor writer and lecturer Doyle Dietz, a member of the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association and the Mason-Dixon Outdoor Writers Association, will present "Muzzleloader Hunting 101" at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Locust Lake State Park Amphitheatre. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the program shelter.
