Bridge winners announced
ELYSBURG - After some exciting play at Tuesday night's bridge club at the Ralpho Township Public Library, the following winners were reported: First place, Elizabeth Johnson and Jackie Fox; second, Nancy Booth and Alice Pensyl; third, Dave McCormick and Jay Leisenring, and fourth, Mina McCormick and Judith Gorit.
The public is invited to play bridge from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at the Ralpho Township Public Library. Bob Reed will provide instructions before play begins for those interested in improving their skills. Call the library to sign up at 570-672-9449. There is no cost.
Cedar lodge plans open house
MOUNT CARMEL - Cedar Lodge No. 378, Free and Accepted Masons, 135 S. Maple St., will host an open house from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The lodge is the former Jewish synagogue. The Masons formerly met at the Masonic Temple on North Oak Street between Second and Cherry streets. The building was demolished when First National Bank (now Susquehanna Bank) took over that block for its new banking complex.
The Masons have since renovated the synagogue to meet their requirements. The tour of the building will highlight these changes, especially those to the social quarters located in the basement which is still being updated.
Information concerning the Masons, the oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world, will be available.

MC Food Pantry open extra days
MOUNT CARMEL - The Mount Carmel Food Pantry will be open every Thursday during the month of June. All clients can visit the pantry twice this month.
The pantry will be open from 11 a.m. to noon June 11 and 25, and from 5 to 6 p.m. June 18.
