ATLAS - A few residents of Mount Carmel Township continued to issue complaints at the monthly supervisors meeting on Monday about the operation of D. Molesevich and Sons Construction Company, but this time the owner of the construction company, Dennis Molesevich, was in attendance.
"I don't think it's fair they keep picking on you guys," said Molesevich to the board. "You guys don't deserve this hammering. I had to come down here and say something."
Joe Chimmel has been the most outspoken Atlas resident objecting to the construction work at a burned-out breaker in the township.
During past meetings, Chimmel said Molesevich violated a local ordinance forbidding construction work on Sundays by performing maintenance on his equipment. Chimmel also said Molesevich is violating DEP standards by not cleaning the streets properly.
Mount Carmel Township supervisors have repeatedly told Chimmel at previous meetings that Molesevich has not violated any local ordinances or DEP standards.
Molesevich said he thinks Chimmel's issue is personal.
"This is about someone who has a problem because he wanted a job and didn't get it," said Molesevich. "If he did get the job, I don't think he would be complaining."
