SEHSC announces meeting schedule
NORTHUMBERLAND - The Susquehanna Emergency Health Services Council (SEHSC) announced that its next meeting will be held Sept. 20 at its office, located at 265 Point Township Drive, Northumberland. Additional meetings for the 2011-2012 fiscal year will be held Jan. 24 and April 24, 2012.
The board of directors meeting will be held on each of these dates at 5 p.m., and the full council meeting starts at 7 p.m.
SEHSC is a not-for-profit corporation that serves as the regional emergency services council for Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties.

Changes in dates, times or location for the meetings will be announced one week prior to the original date. Changes will be posted at the council office, circulated to e-mail addresses of board and full council members and made available at any time upon requests made through e-mail, phone or office visits.
Tree biology and pruning workshop
SUNBURY - The Northumberland County Penn State master gardeners will present a "Tree Biology and Pruning " workshop from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sunbury Extension Office, located at 443 Plum Creek Road.
Topics will include a PowerPoint presentation, hands-on pruning, fungus and disease samples, a quiz on evergreens and a tool and power equipment display. Guest speaker will be Lee Murphy, Penn State master gardener and certified arborist.
There is a $5 fee to cover the cost of handouts.
