Currently, the first floor of the Williams family's old farmhouse in Irish Valley has no bedrooms and only a powder room, so Logan must be carried upstairs several times per week to bathe and sleeps in an open room, which was once the playroom. The family hopes to build Logan a private bedroom and handicap-accessible bathroom on the first floor.
To help defray the cost of construction, the family is hosting a celebration fundraiser beginning at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 with food, drinks and music at the Kulpmont West End Fire Company. Admission is $20.
